Today.
During one of my in depth philosophical talks with Baba today ( an increasingly regular feature these days) it occurred to me how people ignore the infinite amount of small joys that life has to offer, almost every single day... we talk of grand career plans, of success but hardly does one come across a fruitful colloquy on the simple pleasures of say, lightening or the sound of thunder in a sunny sky; even the joy of having a grand parent around or a good chat with a loved one; a cup of tea in the rain...who does it? no one. why? We all have our hi-fi career plans but when we get there..what do we have, to stand by or show off?
Annoying parents by working late, being miffed by their worried faces..why do we forget the love in that frown? why worry our souls for something that is far away into the future yet it spoils all that we have now..supposedly the peak of our lives..youth..grand parents..siblings who are still yet without a family of their own...why not cherish this time rather than fretting about, well nothing really!
interesting quote by Blaise Pascal, french mathematician and philospher
"The heart has reasons which reason knows nothing of."
